We are the descendants of Antonio Spadafora (1831 - 1904) and Serafina DeMarco-Spadafora (1838) of San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy. They had at least four children: Luigi, Angela Maria, Giovanni (John), and another daughter. While we do not know this daughter's name, she married Salvatore Lopez. Salvatore Lopez went to Archbald, PA. He either moved back to Italy or moved to West Virginia. We are not sure if this second daughter came to the USA.
Our traditional surname is Spadafora, but some of our family goes by Spatafore and others go by Spadafore. The family lived in Fairmont, WV, but some of the family moved to Detroit, MI.
