Lopetrone Family

Our Lopetrone Family came from San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy.  The records of the 1500s show the first Lopetrone was Antonio di Petrone.  The name became Lopetrone sometime in the 1600s.  The name means "Of Petrone."

Antonio Lopetrone, my great grandfather, was the first Lopetrone to leave San Giovanni in Fiore to come to the USA.

A few years ago, a number of the Lopetrone family came together to compile an Universal Family Tree, a record of all the Lopetrones of whom we know.  My branch is the only complete branch to date.

While I have a good deal of information on the families of my great grandfather's family.  I still have some mysteries.

There were four brothers:  Anotonio, Salvatore, Saverio, Giovanni

Salvatore?
I cannot locate the date of death, nor a death record for Salvatore Lopetrone who moved to Clarksburg, West Virginia.  I am still trying to find out the information about his death and where he may be buried.  Salvatore may have gone by the name Sam Petrone, Sr.

Saverio?
Saverio is the younger brother of Antonio and Salvatore.  It is not known if he came to the USA or if he stayed in Italy and married.  Saverio would have been born in the late 1860s.

If you have any information about Salvatore or Saverio, please email me.
